Chapter 2. Bored
Henry and Mudge had a boring breakfast.
헨리와 머지는 지루한 아침식사를 먹었습니다.
They watched some boring cartoons.
그들은 좀 지루한 만화를 보았습니다.
They listened to Henry’s father
tell some boring jokes.
그들은 들었습니다. 헨리 아빠에게 말과 약간 지루한 농담들을
“Boy, is this boring,” said Henry.
"와, 지루해" 헨리가 말했습니다.
“What are we going to do?” he asked.
"우리 뭐하지?" 그가 물었습니다.
Mudge knew what to do.
머지는 알았습니다. 무엇을 해야할지를
Mudge always knew what to do
if there was nothing interesting to eat,
nothing interesting to smell,
and nothing interesting to chew.
머지는 항상 알고 있습니다. 무엇을 해야할지를, 만약 거기에 먹기에 흥미로운 것이 없고, 냄세 맞기에 흥미로운것이 없고, 그리고 씹기에 흥미로운 것이 없을 때
He went to sleep.
그는 잠에 빠졌습니다.
“No, Mudge,” said Henry,
giving him a push.
“Wake up.”
"안돼,머지" 헨리가 말했습니다. 그를 밀면서. "일어나"
Mudge sat up.
머지는 앉았습니다.
He wanted to stay awake.
그는 깨어 있는 것을 원했습니다.
He tried to stay awake.

But everything was so boring
that he couldn’t.

His eyes kept closing.

His head kept nodding.

His mouth kept drooling.
그의 입은 계속 침을 흘렸습니다.
“Exciting dog you have there,”
said Henry’s father.
"너무 재미있는 개가 있네" 헨리의 아빠가 말했습니다.
“He’s bored,” said Henry.
"그는 지루해," 헨리가 말했습니다.
“Mudge is bored. I’m bored. Boy, is this boring.”
"머지는 지루해, 나도 지루해, 와 정말 지루해."
Henry’s father frowned.
헨리의 아빠가 눈쌀을 찌뿌렸습니다.
“February cranks?” he asked.
"2월의 괴짜?" 그가 물었습니다.
Henry nodded.
헨리는 고개를 끄덕였습니다.
“Winter grumpies?”
Henry nodded again.
"겨울의 그림피족?" 헨리가 다시 끄덕였습니다.
“Pre-spring meanies?”
“Okay, Dad, okay!” Henry said.
"이른봄의 나쁜놈들?" 알겠어 아빠 알겠어! 헨리가 말했습니다.
“Boy, are you bored!” said Henry’s father.
"아. 너무 지루해!" 헨리의 아빠가 말했습니다.
The three of them sat.
그 세명은 앉아 있었습니다.
Their eyes kept closing,
their heads kept nodding,
and one of their mouths kept drooling.
그들의 눈은 계속 감겨졌고, 그들의 머리는 계속 저버렸고. 그들 중 한명의 입은 계속 침을 흘렸습니다.
Henry’s mother saw them.
“Goodness,” she said.
헨리의 엄마는 그들을 보았습니다. "어머나" 그녀가 말했습니다.
“This is going to be
a long weekend.”
Then she had an idea.
"이것은 긴 주말이 될 것 같은데." 그리고 그녀는 하나의 생각이 떠올랐습니다.
