The First Book (6)

Chapter 6. Henry

Henry thought Mudge

would be with him always. 

He thought Mudge

made everything safe.  

He thought Mudge

would never go away.

헨리는 생각했다 머지가 

항상 자신과 함께 있을 것이라고.

그는 생각했다 모지가 

모든 것을 안전하게 해 줄 것이라고 

그는 생각했다 머지가 

결코 떠나지 않았을 것이라고

And when Mudge did go away,

when Henry called and called

but Mudge didn’t come,

Henry’s heart hurt

and he cried for an hour.

But when he finished crying, 

Henry said,

“Mudge loves me.

He wouldn’t leave

He must be lost.“

그리고 머지가 사라졌을 때 

헨리가 부르고 또 불렀을 때

그러나 머지는 돌아오지 않았다. 

헨리의 마음이 아팠고 

그리고 그는 약 한시간을 울었다.

그러나 그가 울음을 멈추었을 때 

헨리는 말했다.

“머지는 사랑한다 나를 

그는 떠나지 않았을 것이다.

그는 길을 잃었음에 틀림없다”

“So henry walked and walked,

and he called and called,

and he looked and looked 

for his dog Mudge.

He walked down one road,

then down another road.

The sun shone as henry ran 

through a field, 

calling and calling.   

“그리하여, 헨리는 걷고 또 걸었고,

그리고그는 부르고 또 불렀고

그리고 그는 찾고 또 찾았다 

그의 개 헨리를 위해서 

그는 한  길을 골었고 

그리고 또다른 길을 내려갔다 

태양이 비쳤고 헨리가 달렸을 때 

한 들판을 가로질러.

부르고 또 불렀다 

The birds flew past 

as he stood beside a stream, 

calling and calling.

그 새들은 날아서 지나갔다

그가 시내옆에 서서

부르고 부르는 사이에

And the tears fell again 

as he looked at 

the empty pine trees 

for his lost dog.

“Mudge!” he called, one last time.

그리고 눈물이 다시 떨어졌다

그가 봤다 

그 빈 소나무 숲을 

그의 잃어버린 강아지를 찾기 위해 

“머지” 그가 불렀다 마지막 한 번 더 

And Mudge woke up 

from his lonely sleep, 

then 

came running.

그리고 머지는 일어났다

그의 외로운 잠으로 부터

그리고 

달려왔다
